As a part of world schizophrenia day observation a session was taken by Ms. ATHIRA M (Pursuing MSC Psychology, clinical and counselling intern SDM PG CENTRE, UJIRE) On the topic connecting with hope. 40 members participated in the program. The program was organized by department of psychology in Akkara Foundation.

National endangered species day was conducted by MSW trainee ROJITH M (Don Bosco College). The program was inaugurated by Mr. SHIVAKIRTHI K (Beast Forest Officer). 25 people participated in the event.

Akkara Foundation in association with Learn Autism Network organized a free certified international webinar on “the importance of Autism education to achieve best possible outcomes” for all medical and allied health science students, professionals and parents of children diagnosed with ASD. DR. STEPHAN SHORE (co-founder learn autism self-advocate and professor of special education at boston Adelphi university, united states) and SARAH NORRIS (Ms.OTR/L Presenter at learn Autism, owner and lead occupational therapist at the sensory coach) was the resource persons in the program. MR. MUHAMMAD YAZIR N, JISNA LAXMAN, JEN JOJI was the coordinators of the event.

Akkara Foundation conducted a program based on “Team Dynamics”. The session was led by Mr.  V G HARISH KUMAR. 50 members were participated in the program. Team dynamics in the work place are important because they impact creativity, productivity and effectiveness.

Akkara Foundation celebrated mother’s day. Akkara Foundation in association with department of social work, central university of Kerala. This event was inaugurated by Sr. Pavitra CMC (principal of sangeo central school paduppu). Ms. Sulekha (social activit) was the guest of honor at the event. 50 people attended the event.

WORLD DAY FOR SAFETY AND HEALTH AT WORK as a part of it Akkara Foundation was started inter department vegetable garden making competition. 25 people attended the program.

Akkara Foundation was celebrated the IFTHAR party. In this occasion almost 200 people were participated.

The world autism awareness day was celebrated by Akkara Foundation.  This event was organized by District Social Justice Office Kasaragod. As a part of it to conducted cycle rally was inaugurated by AJITH KUMAR (CI, KASARAGOD). As part of this, cultural program was conducted and its inauguration was officiated by Hon’ble C KRISHNA KUMAR (Principle District and Session Judge, Kasaragod). 80 people were participated in the event. Chief gust of this event ADV.V M MUNEER (Chairperson, Kasaragod Municipality). Special gust of this event MARWAAN MUNAAARM (Nobel World Record winner- “world’s first autism person to act and sing in a professional music album). Presidential address was given by Mrs. SHEEBA MUMTHAS (Social Justice Officer, Kasaragod) and facilitation was given by Mr.BIJU (District Probation Officer), FATHER JOSE (Director, Navajeevan Special school). MOHANDAS (Founder, Better Life Foundation) said the vote of thanks at the event. As a part of it conducted indoor games for children. Once @helenofsparta_official (Instagram fame) joined with us on the occasion of world Autism awareness day at Hill top Arena.

Akkara Foundation celebrated the world down syndrome day. Almost 50 people participated in the event. The program was inaugurated by a parent of a child with down syndrome.The theme of world down syndrome day this year is “Inclusion Means”. It calls for making efforts to include people with down syndrome in all matters of life and not discriminate against them. Babies with down syndrome have an extra copy of a chromosome, which changes how the baby’s body and brain develop. 

The sewing machine inauguration conducted by the support of Kudumbashree. The ADM Prakash sir was officially inaugurated the program. Presidential address delivered by District Mission Co coordinator Mr. Surendran . Totally 12 people participated the event. Sewing machine were distributed to economically backward women.
