Under the Kasaragod Zilla Parivar Sangamon an awareness session was organized at the Akkara foundation, center for child development. There were around 50 participants, each participants and guest of the day was welcomed by Mr.Balachandran (President, Parivar Kasaragod), presidential address by Mohammed Yasir (Project Manager), the session was inaugurated by Mr. Mohammed Abdul Aziz Akkara (Chairman, Akkara Foundation) and the session was handed over to the resource person Mr.Karunakaran M P (Parivar State Advisory Member) the session ended in a fruitful manner.

As part of the “World Day for Safety and Health at Work “the department of community extension wing and social work conducted an Interdepartment vegetable garden making competition was organized on 24/04/2022, in accordance with that the staffs of each department made their on vegetable garden at the Akkara component and the judgments were made by Mrs.Joythi, Mr. Mahesh and Mr.Vinu Narayan. The prize distribution ceremony of the event was organized on the date16/07/2022 at the mini conference hall, the winner of the competition were the special education department,1^st runner up were psychology department and 2^nd runner-up  were physiotherapy department ,all the three teams were given away with cash prizes.

AKKARA Foundation celebrated veliyaperunnal on 7/07/2022 at the institution. The celebration was inaugurated by Zuleika Mahin, the chef guest of the day was Marwan Munavvar (Nobel World Record Winner) and Kareem Uppala (Comedy Utsavam Fame), the presidential address was delivered by Mohammed Yasir (Project Manager), felicitation speech was expressed by Moideen Haji and the vote of thanks was delivered by Sajan Antony (Project Coordinator).

          After the inauguration ceremony various competition were organized for the children as well as for the parents  like ,mapelapattu,mehendi fest,mandi fest and tulika utsavam,in the afternoon various cultural programs were presented  by the staffs ,parents and children such as,oppana,vattappattu etc.at the end of the day the winners of each competitions were announced and prizes were handed over to them.
