Step up camp is the camp organized by special education and psychology department for the children during their summer vacation .The main aim of the camp was to help the children to improve their academics, skills and self-esteem .Through step up camp 15 children were given with individual care, that is children with learning difficulty,LD,ID,CP Syndrome and general school going children were considered as individuals and helped them to improve the area where they were backward . Camp also promoted them to sharpen their hidden talents and skills through learning and practicing dance, songs, acting, sports and games. The professional also took efforts to involve their parents in their children daily activities, as various activities and games were made to perform in order to build the companionship and bond between parents and children .
Akkara Foundation as part of respecting the religious diversity celebrated the IFTAR with the special need children, their parents, staffs and community people on 4/4/2023 evening. The special guest of the IFTAR party was Mr.P B Shafeek Razak(Dist.Pancahayt Member Delampady Division ).Akkara Family members gathered together , shared and had food together after breaking fasting .
