From 2019 Akkara Foundation is conducting an award ceremony – “Specially-Abled Award” – for students and youngsters who are affected by Cerebral Palsy and Autism from all over South India (Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana). Excellency & Achievements in Education, Work, and Social Welfare activities are considered as eligibility criteria for the Award.

Mansoor Ali K
Mansoor Ali currently serves as Program Coordinator (Chennai, Tamil Nadu) at the Save the Children NGO. He holds a degree in Sociology from Farooq College, Kozhikode and a Masters Degree in Social Work (Disability Studies) from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. She has passed the Junior Research Fellowship and the National Eligibility Test.
Mansoor Ali is more interested in engaging in activities related to children. He is also a motivational speaker. The young genius finds more time to work in areas related to disability and pays special attention to reaching out to those who can help. Mansoor Ali, who has addressed a large number of people through his YouTube program Joshtock and Flowers TV’s One Million Program, is also a popular actor among locals and loved ones.
Mansoor, the eldest son of Abdullah and Safia, hails from Padapengad, Kannur and has two sisters, Haseena Safina. Mansoor Ali is currently living in Tamil Nadu with his wife Muhsina and son Alan Ali Mansoor.
Anurag Mundakkai
Anurag Mundakkai is a native of Muliyar Grama Panchayat, Kasaragod district in Kerala, India. Is congenital cerebral palsy. He is currently the District Youth Wing Secretary and one of the founders of the Spastic Association of Kasaragod, Kerala’s first association for cerebral palsy sufferers in 2019 under the Akkara Foundation, the first Scout Rover in Kerala and the second-largest in India. The Spastic Association is able to move forward with popular programs in the field of disability. For the first time in Kerala, the Inspire Talk Association’s weekly Disability Dialogue, aimed at three consecutive years, is one of the highlights of the event.
All the affairs of the Spastic Society (all activities) are carried out by differently-abled persons. The association also organizes art events such as Mukhamudra and Vibhinnam. The PSC class is one of the most important contemporary missions of the various competitive examination orientation class associations. In addition, the association’s next objective is to run short – term self – employment courses for people with disabilities in association with the Akkara Foundation.
Amal Iqbal
Amal Iqbal was born with cerebral palsy and could not read, write or eat on his own until he was eight years old. After undergoing surgery and continuous physiotherapy on fifteen areas of her body, Amal is now able to go anywhere without the help of a walker. He did river rafting on the Tejaswini River, skating on the snowy mountains of Shimla and adventure travel to Delhi, Tamil Nadu and Agra. Today, Amal is a brand ambassador for the Maths Academy in Malappuram district, having been a motivational speaker on various stages, a resource person and a winner of many quizzes. In 2019, he participated in the UN Model Parliament in Muscat and won the Outstanding Diplomacy Award. He played the lead role in the short film Murikutty. Amal, who started a YouTube channel called Amal Inspire, wants to get a higher education and work for a diverse community.

Anjan Satheesh
Anjan Satheesh, a native of Tripunithura in Ernakulam district, won the Special Jury Award in 2020. Anjan, who was born with cerebral palsy, was visually impaired and had complete hearing loss. After years of treatment, Satheesh became interested in painting and has already copied many paintings on his canvas and won many awards. Awarded the 2015 Cartoon Academy Academy Brand Icon Award for Creative Activity in Young People with Disabilities, drawing more than 10,000 caricatures and gaining recognition in the community with his stripes.
Mr. Muhammed Shaheed
Mr. Muhammed Shaheed from Kasaragod District Won Specially-Abled award in 2019, who overcomes his difficulties and performs excellence in education. Mr Muhammed Shaheed is doing his second-year B.Ed. from Kannur University Campus Kasaragod. Same time as a student, he works hard for the well-fare activities of the differently-abled community including career guidance, help desk and other social activities. He achieved a good grade in his Bachelor Degree, and has the ambition to do a PhD after his B.Ed. Mr. Muhammed Shaheed is the youth president of the Spastic Association of Kasaragod (formed to assist and advocate for people affected by Cerebral Palsy).
This award is presented to outstanding individuals with Cerebral Palsy and Autism demonstrating remarkable excellence in their field of interest.
Students and young adults under the age of 35 with cerebral palsy and Autism disorder from South India – Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana – can apply for the Specially-Abled Award-2022.
Excellency & Achievements in Education, Work, and Social Welfare activities, Artistic and Cultural Activities are considered as eligibility criteria for the Award.
