Akkara Foundation PTH organized a training program among Asha Workers and Anganwadi teachers for early detection of disabilities in children. The training program were initiated by Akkara Foundation Kasaragod, and collaborated with Trikaripur panchyath, in association with PTH Trikaripur and ST. Mary’s college Thrissur.The training program were conducted at C.H Muhammad koya Memorial Town Hall on 8 th December.Trikaripur Panchayath vise president EM Anandavalli carried out the presidential address and the Panchayath president Sathar Vadakkumbadam inaugurated the programme. Ward member Faiz UP welcomed and Akkara Foundation manager Mohmmed Yasir explained the project. The training programme was carried out by Akkara foundation Center for Child development Head and Physiotherapist Jini Raj R and Psychology Department Head Fathimath Thasniya lead the whole training. The main objective of the training was to create awareness about the importance of providing early intervention and continuous support to children suffering from various Psycho-physical conditions. An outline for conducting the survey with the collaboration of Asha workeres, Anganawadi workers and Palliative volunteers were also presented to prepare a comprehensive report on differently abled persons in the panchayath. Trikkaripur Block Panchayath Member Najeeb TS consolidated the vote of thanks. ).Akkara Foundation were able to educate 115 people regarding disability and its interventions and at the end screening tools were distributed to them as a study material .
